Imagine being well paid in the restaurant industry in Denver, but losing your job because of your illness, then finding yourself back in the Quad Cities and struggling to survive with AIDS.
That is the life Robb Dussliere was living in the summer of 1995. He decided to apply for Medicaid to help with the mounting medical expenses.
I followed as he visited the State of Illinois Department of Public Aid office in Rock Island.
